This morning was no different from any other. Our hero wakes up half buried in a dune on Mars. He gets up, shakes off the sand, and picks up his rifle. He looks around and takes in his surroundings. "must have fallen asleep", he says under his breath. He surveys the squad of Cabal around him, lying dead in pools of their own blood. Each with a single shot right between their eyes. He counts them, and adds five more tally marks to his rifle. "I'm going to run out of room soon". But of course, he must get back to work. He unsheathes his hunting knife, a large deadly looking blade, and easily slices the head off the leader. They wouldn't call him Valkyrie without reason. He then begins his trek back home. After all, a man's gotta eat, and being a Guardian pays well.
