"Is it me or does the sniper gun just have way too much range? Just because its accurate doesn't mean it needs to shoot far. I mean Tiger Woods is accurate, but he doesn't pull up from half court and score a grand slam now does he?" --Anonymous User (Deleted), June 7th, 2008.
He's right you know. The Sniper Gun does in fact shoot too far, and while this might not have been a problem in Halo, it most certainly will be a problem in Destiny if steps aren't taken to prevent the Sniper Rifle and other longer ranged weapons from completely dominating the sandbox.
I encourage the reader to join me on an speculative journey as we embark to figure out exactly how Destiny's sandbox might work compared to Halo.
Click to continue reading to the second post.

Edit: If you don't read the entire thread and instead skip to posting a silly response, I reserve the right to laugh at you.
I agree with this post about bullet drop. In BF BC2 bullet drop made sniping a challenge and evened the playing field considering 8 of the 10 rifles available were 1 shot killers. Limiting the range of a sniper rifle would suck and makes no sense. It is a weapon solely designed to engage opponents at extreme long ranges. Limiting damage would spoil it as well. In the real world high caliber rifles can pierce tank armor. Best defense against snipers? Camouflage, cover and suppressing fire. That's my 3 cents lol.
