"What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates.
Let's be honest, if you don't go the gym and hone your body into the best shape it can possibly be you're doing it wrong. I can't fathom anymore the mindsets of people who don't go the gym, of people who are content with being average and unremarkable. I've been going the gym for just over a year now and I can honestly say it's completely changed the way I view life.
brb strong as hell
brb in great shape
brb working out inspired me to keep a healthy diet
brb stand out from the crowd
brb respect from guys, girls wanting my body
brb much more confident
Used to stay inside all day playing games, writing fan fiction (the fact that at one point I was writing 3 Halo fan fictions on this site says it all really) and being depressed with my life. Almost as soon as I started working out the bouts of depression I used to have completely vanished, I realised there was more to life than gaming and internet and started going out. Now a year later I'd consider myself an extrovert.

Why don't you work out and why doesn't your body look as good as mine? If you do and it does, good for you.
"What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates.
I'm not a man so...

This thread needs to die it's been 1.5 years since I made it. Not into the gym lifestyle anymore. I go usually 3 days a week and try to keep my diet relatively clean but I'm over the days where I'd be obsessing over putting my lifts up or seeing progress in the mirror. Long as you're happy do what you want to do, if working out isn't a part of that then no problem.

I gym. I did all 8 pokemon gyms in one week BRUH.
-
Yeah there's way too many guys at the gym. That's why when there is a woman in there EVERY single guy is just starting at them like they don't know what to do. I would rather be around women then s bunch of guys. But that's just me lol.

Not old enough to do the stuff I need to do to keep fit

Well said dude. Especially for all the dudes here talking about never seeing a vagina, there are MANY! Nothing comes easy, except for me. Sweat is the gold that pours from a healthy spirit.

Sucks you have to work so hard for it. I just play basketball.

I agree... I need to start working out again.

Haha in my City the stereotype for skinny / fat people is that they're lazy and too invested in books and video games. The stereotype for muscle heads is they're stupid and strong because they have no time for books.
-
I waste it good
-
Oh trust me, I Gym
-
So your saying u go to the gym because you have issues.... righto
-
Fair play, that's a good transformation for such a short period of time. I train daily and as you've said, it makes you feel good. Gets rid of depression and makes you so much more confident. I usually train 45 minutes a day, and that balanced with healthy eating, is all it takes in order to become the strongest version of yourself. I don't train at a commercial gym, I have a home gym, I've saved in order to purchase my equipment. In my opinion, it was/is a great investment. I only have basic equipment, which is all you need to build an athletic looking body. For those who don't have any equipment, there's no excuse as body weight training and calisthenics can give you superior results, if done properly. You can become extremely strong with only using your body weight. Keep it up mate.

So basically, what you're telling me is that you're going to go out of your way to try to get people to go to the gym, while being a total -blam!-ing prick and boasting about how much better you've become... bro... I like you.

Edited by The Fallen Zyzz: 12/5/2014 8:52:51 AMI agree with some of your points. If you don't exercise and allow your body to fall into disrepair and waste away, it is a waste of Human potential. Myself, I train away from gyms for two reasons: I'm not fond of the crowd and I simply don't have the money to blow on a gym membership (maybe I will soon, but, not today). I train exclusively to reach my peak in terms of strength and endurance. I don't really care for aesthetics. I don't train for the approval of women or to intimidate guys. I congratulate you on your transformation, by the way. Regardless of your motivations. Although, I don't approve of what you're doing here. Training doesn't make you superior to anyone else. Some people choose to train and some don't. Don't hold it above other people in order to put them down.

Your still a dick. gyms are for those who like their egos stroked. I train. I train away from gyms, away from mirrors, and away from air conditioning. I run jump squat sprint crawl lift and carry. I train for me. Not so I can post some selfish photo on a forum looking for compliments to try and make me feel good about myself. You have the wrong motivation. Enjoy your shallow life. Continuously dictated by others thoughts of you

Not everyone wants to be a Dudebro
