It's gunna be a long time till Destiny is released (6-7 months), so will Bungie make smaller games in between now and then to keep us busy?
Your thoughts?

Yea it's called Destiny Beta
-
Yes. There will be a Destiny spin off where you play as a napkin floating through the air during the invasion.
-
Flappy Guardian.

I would be amused at Destiny Wars or Guardian Assault.

Sure hope not. Developers shouldn't rush games

Even if Bungie made filler games, they'd still be perfect because it's Bungie; Bungie never fails.
-
Given they are already behind schedule ... not likely. This delay has already cost them in terms of payouts from Activision. And after it is released ... when will they find the time? The churn rate is high ... full game every 2nd year, Comet in the alternate years - and then DLC in the months between. If they find time to develop another title it will proof enough of what a release milking exercise this is.
-
No because there already slacking with the beta...

Edited by The Squatchmen: 2/22/2014 9:23:05 PMI think there'll be more than just the "Comets" they mentioned, pretty sure there'll be spin offs, not many though, most likely a couple really good ones. Oh and to answer your question, no, there won't be any smaller games before the first game is out, the only so called smaller game to keep you busy before the full game is the beta
-
No, they'll let us enjoy Thief, Titanfall, Infamous Second Son, Watch Dogs, Evolve, etc. before Destiny comes out
-
No. They'll be pushing to get the game ready for the Beta in 3/4 months and then they'll be pushing to get the game polished and ready for launch.

Edited by RANMAN: 1/27/2014 1:20:55 AMBungie is too much of a group of perfectionists. Bungie would never make filler games like the Call of Duty franchise. I kind of chuckled when I read this and when my mom asked why I laughed, I told her you asked this. She replied,"It isnt Call of Duty! @.@"

Edited by Commander Tempu: 2/3/2014 11:28:03 PMThey are Making Marathon 2 but only with 5% staff on that project at any one time. Destiny is in full swing so they are getting it so polished all they need is the Beta and Ship it after working out some bugs. No i do not think Bungie will have the time. They spent 4 years on the game well five and they plan on shipping. So i will say no unless they are willing to subcontract out to Obsidian or the like.

nah. just info, and those who can't play beta should be happy enough to watch beta gameplay and listen to reviews
-
Definitely not between now and the release of destiny, maybe between future destiny games further down the road. I heard quite a lot a while ago that bungie has a very small team working on a new marathon game and if their targets are met with destiny then they can put more time into the marathon game. Not sure how much of that is true or if it is even true at all.
-
No way
-
Well they are giving us a beta. So we have something to look forward too.
-
Probably not. That doesn't sound profitable or like something Bungie would do to begin with.
-
Maybe Gnop2? Gee, I dunno.
-
7 months goes by in a flash in the world of game development.
-
long time

6-7 months
That's not a long time.
-
No. What kind of question is that?
-
Is this thread srs? I don't even know

Edited by M80: 1/31/2014 2:04:10 PMand do you remember the length between halo games? (although this is somewhat different...but still...)
