Highest base stat of any starter, boi. Only weakness is grass, but a blizzard or ice beam can help out with half the grass Pokemon out there. Plus, why not? He looks cool and huggable at the same time ^_^

Won't deny that he has a fantastic type mix. But isn't he supposed to be covered in a layer of gel or some sticky thing like that due to his nature of being essentially an amphibian of sorts? So you'd choose him over a guy then?
