Star wars all day, there were force user who could move PLANETS. Having all of the most powerful force users from the star wars universes fighting against one common enemy would be absurd. Oh and that isnt accounting for all of the fleets that have destroyed entire planets (Not even counting the Death star which would be a tremendous threat). Star wars would obliterate them.

It also consumes tons of resources the Covenant can't immediately replace.
