Dear Americans...
I am British. I have a British accent. This fact is to me, rather mundane. When somebody has a British accent, I am not surprised. Equally, other accents are not at all surprising to me, be they American, French, Yorkshire, or anything else.
However, I've just spent a week in the US, and one thing I can say is that a disturbingly high proportion (>50%) of the people I met were horrifically impressed with the fact that I have a British accent...
What's the dealio, homeboys? What is it about my dulcet tones that moves you so?

I thought this would be a typical "Americans, WHY ARE YOU ALL FAT ILLITERATE MORON FAGGATS?????" eurotrash thread. You pleasantly surprised me OP. OT: Because it's different, and most American's don't hear a British accent very often.
