How often do you buy old games?

Old as in games that aren't current generation. I've been meaning to buy some gameboy and original xbox games but I have yet to find the ones that I want for a reasonable price >__> Anyways itt > games you've bought and preferred retro console > how often you buy goodies > why you do, be it collecting, nostalgia or fun!

  • Interesting topic. I never sell or trade-in any of my games anymore for exactly this reason. If I get nostalgic and want to play Halo 2 on my original Xbox with the Duke controller, I like that I only need to go plug in the system and do so. Just this year, I broke out the N64 and played Mario Kart 64 multiplayer. Even though you can play the downloadable version on the Wii, there's nothing like the real deal. The one exception I make is for remakes. I don't mind re-buying updated versions of older games (especially with achievements or trophies added). I'm definitely going to buy Ducktales on launch day, because I loved the NES verison. Speaking of that system, my little sister has been "borrowing" my NES and all of my games since 1993. I have about 400 of them. Instead of shopping for replacements, someday I plan to go borrow them back. Maybe I can charge her blockbuster late fees.
