I was shocked today like most people when Microsoft reversed its DRM and used game policy. Until today I was 90% convinced I was getting a PS4. Now I have to admit its back to 50/50. I currently own a 360 and being able to keep my 50000 gamer score is a slight bonus. I also like the xbox ones controller and mic better. As for the exclusives, im not too terribly excited for any of them except maybe Forza 5. Most of the games im looking forward too will be available on both consoles. As of now I am back to the drawing board and hoping to make up my mind soon. Feel free to post your opinion on this matter. Will this announcement change your mind on the next gen console you are going to buy?

Edited by Sapid: 6/21/2013 3:11:48 AMI think things got a little heated. Microsoft should have cooled down a bit, you can tell they were thrown back by the angry responses which caused their defenses of the console to be below average, so they really had no choice but to stop everything. They relied too much on "Well, we're Xbox, people trust us, so I'm sure they will remain calm and listen to us" even though the consumers of the gaming industry are known to react fast and harsh, especially since most gamers are online (news and opinions travel faster, rumors and unclear speculations are everywhere). While I think they should have waited (especially since most people who were angry were just big hypocrites and would have bought the console anyway), I don't think it would have mattered and eventually these changes would have been made. Plus, changing these things makes them look good in a way (for listening to consumers). I do not doubt some of the features shot down will be more clearly explained, accepted, and implemented later (but definitely not all, too much damage to go back to the old Xbox One image microsoft had).
