And featuring a likeable, inspiring protagonist to hold the AI would be a good move if Bungie wanted to create a story with characters you care about.
So in my fantasies - a Destiny's Master Chief who would guide us through the story?

The guy in the white armor with the helmet talking to the PC in the cutscene after the reveal may be this guy.

So I guess he won't be just that kind of character who gives you a goal and says: "Do it"? Maybe we'll visit him often?

I gotta say I got bad vibes off this guy, though rationally thinking - he shouldn't be a bad guy. But maybe after I get to know him a bit more, that feeling will go away. I'm getting a feeling there'll be a lot of interesting characters!

A main character than wasn't the PC...?!!?!? hmmmmm interesting thought, maaaaybeee.

It seemed as a viable choice if one would decide to make the protagonist silent and without a face. So a main character that would lead you through the story wouldn't be bad. But as of now, we know the Guardian will indeed play an important role in the story. Or at least, it seems that way.
