My First "Victory" (IL2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover)

(Unfortunately I couldn't snap any pictures during this crazy exhilarating fight, but my 109 looked roughly similar, only its number was 2 and belonged to JG 54) I achieved my very first air victory yesterday on an player controlled Spitfire in my ME-109 E4/N, it was quite a fight and I will try and explain in detail as to how it all played out that fateful day over the skies of Britain! As me and my wing man (A good friend of mine) were coming over the channel at about 3000m (We are flying German aircraft, hence it is in German rulings) and spotted a flight of 5 bombers who we weren't sure the nationality of, so we climbed to inspect them, and to see if they were British or Heinkels needing an escort. As we approached we could see a black dot weaving in and out of the bomber formation and the tracers coming from it. Once again unsure of the nationality er moved closer and began to plan what we would do, I would get close to the bombers and stick with them incase of another attack (Or if they are hostile engage) he would engage the fighter aircraft. Once I got close enough to the bombers (Very close about 50-100 meters, I identified them as Italian (Figures) as I peeled away I took a burst of machine gun fire from a spitifre! (It was indeed a British plane!) that knocked out my pneumatics in my aircraft (wasn't a big deal at the time luckily) for some odd reason...he peeled away and at that point I immediately dived to keep up with him(I should mention the poor bastards in one of the Italian planes who began to plummet to the earth, succumbing to the spitfires guns), while my partner was trying to locate us (keep in mind we do not have external views, this is a full realism server, we see through our cockpit windows) as we peeled into the dive I got a few bursts off (the 109 performs much better than the spitfire in a dive)from my cannons and machine guns, which missed. Then he made his final fatal mistake, he once again peeled into a deep dive by doing a roll in mid air, i fired as his aircraft flashed in front of me, it took a burst of cannon fire to the left wing and I could tell was critically damaged. As I followed his aircraft down the pilot ejected and the plane crashed onto the planes of Britain. Unfortunately for my partner, his war was over just as the enemy's, his plane was critically damaged when he went to fast in a dive ripping off his wing. As I pulled my 109 on a course back to France I could still see the two burning wrecks... Thanks for reading and tell me if you like this stuff, I will post pictures soon hopefully.
