I don't trust the current bible, it was changed to suit man and his needs, the king james bible is the worse offender in that take... however it is offensive and ignorant to laugh at something you have no understanding of... You say someone shows intolerance by saying "Read the bible" and "God is Against Gays" yet you turn around and say you couldn't read the bible because you were laughing to hard, that shows more intolerance then the bible thumper... You say you respect those who read and believe in the bible, but laughing that their word they believe is the word of their lord and savior is the biggest insult you could possibly show to someones religious belief...
You are unbelievable and worse then the bible thumpers who don't believe in equal rights...
it is offensive and ignorant to laugh at something you have no understanding of...
I have not read it completely however i have read enough to understand the point it tries to make and disagree thoroughly.
You say someone shows intolerance by saying "Read the bible" and "God is Against Gays"
Not everyone's 'god' is the same, and I say it's intolerant of the point of view of those whom have other opinions. Also, claiming that God hates gays is not a humans duty, if God hates gays, let God say it, not some person who is guessing based of a book they read of questionable origins.
yet you turn around and say you couldn't read the bible because you were laughing to hard, that shows more intolerance then the bible thumper
So apparently, telling someone that basing their lives morals and freedoms from a book is foolish is WORSE than actively refusing to accept that human beings who happen to be gay deserve a basic human right. Yeah, right. How about we agree to disagree and end this endless back-and-forth here and now, before it starts, like sensible people?
I have not read it completely however i have read enough to understand the point it tries to make and disagree thoroughly.
That's fine... it's your choice, but to mock someone because of their beliefs is showing intolerance... to laugh at the book that is a part of their beliefs show considerable intolerance...
Not everyone's 'god' is the same, and I say it's intolerant of the point of view of those whom have other opinions. Also, claiming that God hates gays is not a humans duty, if God hates gays, let God say it, not some person who is guessing based of a book they read of questionable origins.
I know not everyone's God is the same, and I never said people saying God Hates gays isn't Intolerance, it really is however for you to still mock someones belief shows just as much intolerance as that guys saying God Hates Gays...
So apparently, telling someone that basing their lives morals and freedoms from a book is foolish is WORSE than actively refusing to accept that human beings who happen to be gay deserve a basic human right. Yeah, right.
Yes that is exactly what I am saying... let me put it to you this way... you want equal right yet you mock the people that say you don't deserve it... I don't like the people who say equal rights is wrong, but I don't tolerate people mocking someone for their beliefs either... You don't like someones beliefs fine, don't tell them their wrong... everyone is entitled to their opinion... if they don't like equal rights that is their right, if you don't like the Christian religion that is your right... but don't preach Tolerance then turn around and be intolerant of someone else's Beliefs...

So go ahead and tell me that shunning gays, blacks, asians and everyone else that isn't white is totally open minded. I'm sad you commented and you kind bring waste to our society. I was born Christian and after reading the bible I was intelligent enough to know that a false spirit isn't going to ruin my life.

I'm wondering who you're talking to in this statement...
