Just an idea...

Okay, so I feel like I don't have enough experience with writing to actually do this successfully, but it's an idea that I may try in the future. I'd just like your opinions. Imagine a comic series, or preferably, a TV show, about a guy who has the ability to absorb another person's memories and feelings, essentially their identity, at the cost of killing them. Sort of like Silar from Heroes. I'm not quite sure at this moment how he would acquire this ability, but it's still just a rough idea. I was thinking it could make for interesting story-telling, as with each person's memories there will be development. Any relationships the person he's killed once had; you'd see him trying to connect with those people. Maybe at the start of the series he'd be a pretty bad guy, a killer, maybe, and throughout the series he'd start to have value changes, confusion about his identity, and a shit ton of emotional rollercoasters. Thoughts?

Oh my dear friend, let me tell you of concepts of all shapes and sizes. There once was a man who had the world's greatest flour. Its use in nice cakes had pleased kings and won prizes. The wonders it could make I could list for more than one hour. Now along came a man who ordered a bag of great size. He thought to himself "this stuff will give my cakes power!" So he took his stash home and looked with his eyes. "I'll make a cake to impress the woman I fancy, my baking with this will certainly wow her." So he did as he planned, and took out the cake with it's pan. He took the cake to his love and put a piece in her hand. She said "oh how sweet" and took a big bite. She enjoyed it at first, but here eyes filled with fright. He asked what was wrong, said he used the best flour. She said "it doesn't matter. Your cake is abhorrently sour."
