12 RepliesBungie has never been a jerk about requiring internet connection to access single-player content (unlike Halo 4). I'm sure they'll give the option to play without internet.

Have it but haven't turned it on in months. Playstation and PS+ gives me enough games to keep me gaming for ultra cheap. Frankly ill probably sell the damn thing before the cost of them plummets topping much.

I know what you mean, i never had Live until recently and i was missing so much, the should be lots of features for none Live members. StockyStockton

12 RepliesLet me make a long answer so people will be able to read it, even though only a few will ever see this.--- You can have Xbox Live and not have a Gold Membership, it's called a silver membership. and with a silver membership, one may be a able to have live updates. These updates are what I believe are the main creation of this living world because it is always connected to the living world. It's the only way. Now if you want to download an expansion of who knows what, for they haven't even announced or showed how the game works, then I guess it would be a good time to get a gold membership. That's the cost of life. And the cost for a better community with a better connection, now with the 300,000 dedicated servers that make up the Live Cloud. The experience I believe will be unprecedented. Will the Playstation Network be better than it was with the PS3, I don't know. Cause from my experience with it, it wasn't all too great. What I know is that this new bungie experience will be epic and if anyone would miss out, it would be sad. I for one want the full experience, so I am getting a job within the week to save some money so I can get the Xbox One, and the collectors edition on what will be the greatest game of all time. Destiny, it is yours and mine.

I think there's a good chance the game will be unplayable without online multiplayer. If you want to play the game, your best bet is a gold sub or a playstation. I'm probably going with gold sub, but if you don't want a slightly better experience and no subscription by all means go PS.

4 Repliesit makes you wonder what's wrong with the world that people will spend a few hundred bucks on a system and $70 at least for a game but wont give up $8 a month to get their money's worth from either. though their probably the same people who wont spend $20 for a headset so their a lost cause anyhow.

3 RepliesSometimes you can buy a 12 month gold card on sale for half the price at amazon. I wouldn't mind paying 30 bucks a year for Gold but 60 is a bit high, especially when psn is free.

There will be no fee to play Destiny, other than the price for the game and an XBL Gold membership.

3 RepliesYou want have to pay for gold you can stay silver because bungie themselves said it is free of charge. It's also their number one reason why they keep calling it a open world FPS not MMO because those usually require paid memberships.

And the ability to invest further cash into the game. Bungie themselves have compare the base game to being only the opening chapters of a 10 book series. The plan is to release a new game every 2 years, with the evolution of the "books" being expended over this time. In between releases there will be sizable DLC (and you can assume sizable == number of and cost), with each DLC expanding both the storyline and the playable universe. If you can afford all this you can afford XBL, no brainer.

Actually i have Xbox Live but i have a problem with the service,when i find a solution im going to play again Halo Reach :D And Battlefield 3 of course :D
