I know this is far from the best place to ask, but I don't know where else to go. I want to get a degree in astrophysics, but I messed around and didn't take school seriously. So I'm going to take the GED test. Now i'm wondering can I still get a physics degree? Do I just have to get accepted into college to start working towards the degree? Or will I get rejected? I am more mature now, and this is my dream i'm beyond motivated to do whatever necessary.
I got my answers. Yes, I can still get a PhD in Astrophysics. This has made my day.

Yup, you can tank in high school but still have a chance at getting your degree. Do your two years and transfer. Work your ass off those two years too, it will be worth it.

You'll probably have to start at a 2 year college taking prerequisites and then try and transfer. Somehow I doubt if you didn't graduate high school that you have the necessary math skills under your belt to pursue something like that.
