Sure WoW still has a ton of subscribers, but it's starting to wind down.
Thoughts on this?

The only reason 8 million people are still on it is because they've sunk so much time on it. It is hard to quit because you say to yourself "I've spent so much time in this game, I'll have to start over someplace else" That is the mentality with MMOs, at least among higher level players. I never wanted to leave Runescape as a child to play WoW because I was a high level in Runescape and didn't want to reinvest all that time in another game (and be behind everyone who had played from the beginning). I eventually did make the switch, but when I got tired of WoW I faced the same problem.
