[b]Fall of Pataskala: Part 1[/b] By Peyton Glenn During the Golden Age mankind has built some of the finest warships imaginable. These ships were our front line of defense during the Golden Age, but when they attacked even our strongest ships were not enough. Now these once great giants drift in the emptiness of space. A reminder of our debt to the Traveler. Restoration is well under way. The council's Guardians had managed to recover two pre-war Dreadnoughts. The first ship called the Rhineland is heavily damaged while its ancient counterpart the Pataskala needs much less repair. Due to the instability of Monarchy space the council has ordered both ships to be restored in a secluded location in the Asteroid Belt. Well out of view of greedy Fallen who would risk everything for this prize. The intercom cracked "Avictus report to the bridge". Avictus, a large Titan wearing black clad armor stepped of the elevator onto the bridge. He was assigned as a protector of the crew working to restore Pataskala. An aging man in a grey jumpsuit waved Avictus over. "I am glad your here Guardian, repairs will be completed in the next hour or so and i would like to test her batteries"., Avictus nodded "The Fallen will think twice before trying to raid a trade lane." The man smiled "Head to the observation deck, we will give them a reason to fear us." Avictus bowed before the man. He was ready for anything. It had been an hour since the research team last checked in. Vestri knew he could wait no longer, he ordered his men to gear up. The research teams last known location was a valley near the planets ice cap, they had been sent to sample minerals that could be useful in making components needed in the Fleet. The Red Planet which the council had called "Mars" had fallen after the Golden Age. Since that time the Cabal have taken refuge in ruins of an old space port not far from the research teams last known location. Vestri had a feeling that today would be difficult.
