I don't get this whole "Xbox vs PlayStation" war.
Now, I know this has been going on since forever and that this thread will probably start a Xbox VS PS argument (because you guys are so damn predictable), but I truly don't understand this huge uproar over which console is better.
I like to think I have a unbiased opinion on the matter; I owned both the first and second PlayStation. What made me switch to Xbox with the 360 was my boyfriend owned one and I liked some of the exclusive titles more. That's basically how I decide on which console I want to buy, and it's how I'll decide on which next gen console I will be purchasing as well. However some people will stick to a certain console just because of the manufacturer and the name, that to me is silly, especially when you feel the need to bash other consoles in the progress. Who the hell cares?
I was just after watching a youtube video where people were talking about the new Xbox not being able to play used games. I can understand how that would turn people from buying the console and make people upset, but some people were actually HAPPY because they want the new Xbox to fail, they want people NOT to buy it. Once again; WHO THE HELL CARES? Why do you want a product to do miserably? How does that benefit you? Why do you care what other people buy? I just don't get it! If you want to stick to PlayStation because that's what you're familiar or vice versa, fine, I get that but WHY do you care if more people buy an Xbox or a different console?

I own both the 360 and the PS3, and yes I enjoy the 360 more and really it's the only console I can play with currently on my Dell monitor since I have a VGA cable for it. My TV broke so.... I also started with the SNES and the original PlayStation, and I still have my original Xbox console. My PS1 broke so that's long gone. I don't remember what happened to the SNES exactly since my memory back then was a bit vague, I was only a small kid, but that's long gone too. And I have a nice gaming PC, so all these fanboys need to grow up. PC Master Race, Console Master Race? How about shut the fuck up and enjoy the systems you have Master Race and quit bragging that one console is awesome and the rest suck like a rabid fanboy? I'm serious. Fanboys of all kinds irritate the fuck out of me. And if a system does suck so much (like the Sega 32X as an example, I know that was more of an add-on for the Genesis but still, just an example) some people wouldn't bother returning it trying to get their money back and instead they claim that their purchase was justified and end up praising the damn thing as if it's their lord and savior. Now do I think that the PS3 sucks? No. It's a great console, but in my opinion it's very limited and has some flaws, and honestly I prefer the Xbox over it because the Xbox just has more to offer than the PS3. And as for the PS4, guess what, Sony is also considering on locking out used games, so it's not just Microsoft's idea. If either company goes for this approach, I'm sticking with PC for good. I like the consoles, but the companies are such assholes. Get my drift people?
