Yup...you read that title right. I never really use to listen to music...until now.
Earlier today my friend showed me this song that we were gonna use in our video (which we did), and it was from Newgrounds (the song was called Jumper 2013 by Waterflame).
So I started searching around on the audio part of Newgrounds, and a lot of the music actually appeals to me (and I am a very, very stingy person when it comes to music). So yay.
What kind of music do you listen to?
-
It's a nice piece.
-
I listen to musical theater music. And Led Zeppelin, and Frank Sinatra.
-
I started out with punk then to metal then to acoustic then to jazz then to pop then to video game music/ orchestra. I listen to almost anything.

I used to listen to a bunch of punk and metal, mainly to give me something to listen to while forging, and because i was a bassist and a lot of the bands had better bass lines than most rock songs. After a few years i shifted towards indie/alt rock. I worshiped Modest Mouse for a while. Still for the creative bass, and drums, and i felt it was more my kinda thing. You can only listen to so much metal, you know? Then a friend turned me on to country, and i started to get into some folk rock and southern rock sort of stuff. Eventually, i stumbled upon the Avett Brothers. This conveniently happened at a weird point in my life where i had to make some decisions. The album I and Love and You really had an impact on me, and at the time i was playing guitar and was taking music more seriously. That band/album were a big part of me deciding to become a musician. Now i listen to a lot of stuff. Mainly a lot of stuff with roots in folk and americana, but still the occasional rock, punk, or metal bands. I'm also trying to expand my selection. I'm listening to more 'real' bluegrass and folk music, and trying out blues and jazz and stuff.

Right now I'm listening to We Were Promised Jetpacks, but some of my favorites are Flying Lotus, Gorillaz, Volbeat, Rammstein, and Deadmau5 to name a few. There are a lot of random songs I like too, but don't like the other music from the same group. Music is what you make of it. It can be as diverse of limited as you want.

Blues, jazz, classical, classic rock, and some electronica.
-
Ever see that episode of Family Guy where Quagmire starts jamming to the music he hears in his head? That's what I do to get myself motivated. Typically party music or themes from FFVII-FFIX. I could post examples but they wouldn't have their full effect until you've seen what they represent in-game.

Eskimo seal-flute rap and one-man interpretive sign language duets. You should link some of your preferred songs from NG.

Manly man metal made by men for men.
-
Stuff like that. So mainly Rock, be it classic rock or new, also metal is pretty good.

I mostly listen to Classic Rock and Classical.
