For instance, I thought it'd be great if I could watch movies on it (my school commute was an hour and a half long bus ride, and I had to find ways to fill in the time), and after some research I found out I could, via a flash card - a means of launching unofficial software, such as video and music players. Now, the video files had to be specially encoded in order for the DS to recognise them, and it just so happens that the people that encode and upload movies in a DS friendly format are huge anime junkies. That's how I discovered anime, by pirating movies and watching them on my DS... (:- 0 I'm a terrible person ;-;
