Are groups getting their title systems back?

I know this has been a sore area of discussion before but it seems to have dropped off the radar in recent weeks (assuming I've not just missed the threads about it). Are we likely to ever see the return of private group titles? I can see one reason why they wouldn't return, and that's the ability to make threads in groups public. It'd be odd to see someone post in a group-made thread with a title of say, "Fluffy Kitten" and then see them in a main forum thread without a title. However, this could be avoided by removing titles in a group thread if it is made public. Issue solved. Now for the reasons for group titles: 1. It gives you a goal within a group. Many groups were founded on the basis of being able to "rank up" in the numbers and prove that you are more active and loyal than other members. It was often in good taste too, with excellent moderation of titles. 2. It means that you can stick to a theme within a group, say having one about DayZ and allocating people Bandit or Survivor titles based on their play style. 3. Titles are often hilarious, and giving individual users special titles for a time was one of the highlights of the system. "He posted a lot in that thread about muffins, let's give him the title 'Muffin Top' for a few days." 4. Elitism. As an Absent Member I fully support elitism. 5. I like trains.

 • Acornboy forever has cone. I hope so. It's more of an "all or nothing" deal with groups right now and I believe it does add some incentive to stay active for most private groups. Also, for those that admin groups themselves, it allows certain permissions per user role and other members could tell what everyone's role is within a group. Whether they're a contributor, moderator, news guy, admin etc. Achronos did make a comment that groups aren't finished, but they know where they're going with them. I just hope to see such a title/privilege system return.
