Today in school we were given a project and had to choose partners. I only knew 2 people in the class well since the class was mostly populated by seniors and I am in my junior year in high school. Anyway, we had to go in pairs and the 2 people I hoped to be with ended up going with each other ._. I know most of the other people, but not know know, just talk at school and once in a while out of school know, and naturally everyone else went with people in their grade.
So in the end I was the only guy left along with one of these awkward girls that everyone sort of just doze off when they speak in class. My first instinct was "Oh God no, no". And then I think the next thing that ran through my mind was "am I really so... so bad that I have to be with her?" I think it kinda showed because when she asked to work with me I was like "uhhh, I guess."
I don't know why but I couldn't get this out of my head the entire day. Now I feel kinda bad for having such an overwhelmingly negative opinion of her and I feel a need to seek for your thoughts on this matter. Has this sort of situation ever happened to you? How do you judge people? Are you fine working with awkward people? Is the cover quite like the book?

How do you make it 3/4 of the way through the school year and only know two people in class?
