Many people are arguing over if there should be balanced multiplayer or if their character from the single-player or co-op should transfer over. I have a solution that will please both parties. I suggest that there are weapon categories, such as assault rifles, sniper rifles, smg's, etc. Each weapon gategory has a base set of stats. The same goes for armor. This will please the people who want balanced multiplayer. Now this is where the skins come in. Everytime you acquire a piece of armor or a weapon your recieve a skin for multiplayer. This skin will look exactly like the weapon or armor piece. Much like any other game there will be a character customization center. When you enter this part of the game, you can set the skins you unlocked in single-player on your multiplayer character. This will please the ones who want their gear to translate over to multiplayer. With this implemented everyone will be happy.

Though the idea is solid CK, I have a distinct feeling that Bungie will probably stick more closely to traditional MMO gear. Instead of having two completely separate sets of gear for PVP and PVE, total damage from weapons, armor bonuses from armor, and stats from all gear combined may be given a soft cap based on the Score (which we've already seen from the smartphone app screenshot from the video). Once damage or a stat hits its soft cap, the effectiveness of additional bonuses are decreased greatly (but still present).
