Larry Niven's "Destiny's Road"

Just for the fact that Bungie used a Larry Niven concept for their last series (Ringworld, anyone?). I was walking through the bookstore the other day and notice a book by Niven called "Destiny's Road." I pick the book up off the shelf and check the cover out. While doing this, I can't help but notice the similarity between the circular city/structure on this book cover and the Last City from Destiny. Now, this could just be some sort of chance happening, but given the past as a reference point for the future...I couldn't resist.

  • Looks like we found the Sci-Fi book that inspired Destiny. I like to think Bungie has a huge library of obscure science-fiction and they just pick a random book and decide to make a game about it. Ringword, the book called Marathon, Bungie is know to take things from existing stories.
