Introduction into the piece
As we enter into early 2013, the new emerging focus within the Department of Defense--alongside the private sector--is the evermore crucial question of creating a solid defense against the plethora of cyber attacks on valuable national assets. These attacks are far ranging, from a simple hacktivist defacing a meat packaging company's website with slogans about saving cows (lol), to intricate and damaging heists of intellectual information by those that seek to gain an upper hand in markets.
Thoughts? Do you agree? What do you think should be done about these attacks by China?

Cyberwarfare, in my opinion, is our biggest national security threat. About your ways to approach these threats, I also don't think any of them are mutually exclusive; as in, if we do x, we can't do y. I think, in all honestly, a balanced approach of all three is the best way to go about countering these threats. I also think we should be conducting more of option 1 and 3, as we need to beef up our security and programs like STUXNET seem to work.
