Also you should never be "looking for" a certain response IMO.
Listen to this, CortanaV, this has to do with the scientific method. In any case, I really hope that this wasn't too internally motivated because of your experiences as a woman in the gaming community. I think that this is an issue you take personally, which is unfortunate, but for me, emotions can cloud judgement before I even know it's happening. I have emotions, and I am a male. This video I take with a grain of salt, as a woman who stands in front of an audience full of other women and says "I will no longer be silenced" is applauded as a triumph in many cases, but to me, standing up at the moment of oppression is most relevant and brave. (Not that it is possible when being the victim of online harassment of the worst kind) That said, disagreeing with a feminist in any aspect does not make me a chauvinist, and I ultimately agree with the overarching message, as I have overheard sexual slander personally, as have we all.

 • Meh, I don't listen to what Anita says. She's really biased.

 • Very compelling video, and I'm glad you posted it. Don't get me wrong, man. Before I saw the video you posted, I knew from square one she was exalting herself as a celebrity due to her suffering. Anyone who identifies as a "feminist" instead of an equalist is self-defeating in my book. Saying explicitly to an audience "I could no longer remain silenced" is just having them eat out of her palm. It does nothing for the feminist movement except inflame responses. The deception is so obvious that it disgusts me, BUT I don't think that the baby should be thrown out with the bathwater on this one. Pick a quality about yourself that you can't fix. I'll choose acne, because I used to have it. If I were browsing a forum and everywhere I saw "Clear skin or gtfo" that really wouldn't feel great. I know acne can be fixed blahblah but that's not the point. It's the same mentality as racism. It's not cool. The video you post makes good observations which dance around ad-hominem, and then gives the last 10 seconds to "...oh yeah, and misogyny in gaming is a problem." The point is unity, so both sides of the coin belong here, but it's tough to be come together when BOTH parties are pointing fingers.
