I don't think U.V analysis is referring to the cartesian plane. Wikipedia lists UV Mapping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UV_mapping) which projects a texture map onto a 3D object. (u, v) refers to the coordinate system used in 2D images. Seems somewhat likely, but I don't have the software to do this.

    Thanks for the tip, I'm looking into freeware to do this right now. Edit: found a few, have no clue how to use, I guess we'll need the help of someone who is familiar with this sort of thing. I imagine there is someone already working on it.
