I don't know about hate, but the one thing that really gets me going is when someone learns I'm colorblind and then spends the next fifteen minutes pointing at things and asking me what color it is.
While not as extreme, it would be like pointing at stairs and asking why someone in a wheelchair couldn't just [i]climb [/i]them, for Pete's sake.

most of us see the colours, they're just not as vivid

What kind are you? I'm red-green, so I really can't see anything that has either of those two colors in them properly, it's usually just yellowish replacement. Not yellow, but yellowish.
