Have you played DmC yet?

At first I thought that Ninja Theory were going in the wrong direction with a reboot (new story, new character looks) but after playing and completing the game I found that Ninja Theory have a good thing going on. The music though has to be the best I have heard in a game OST. It definitely suits the hack-and-slash genre especially when it comes to Devil May Cry. What are your thoughts on the game if you have played it?

I've played the demo and a couple levels at a friend's house. Quite frankly, It's pretty awful. Combat is much simpler and doesn't allow for much of the fancy stuff you could do in DMC4 (which is the only I've played otherwise) and the enemies are pushovers. To top it off the style meter basically means nothing anymore, SSS is easy to achieve even on DMD, level design was neat at times though. Outside of pure gameplay, the music is heavily dubstep which I hate, and new Dante is quite frankly one of the worst written characters I've ever played as. Ninja Theory attempting to use Unreal Engine 3 instead of the old MT Framework was also one of the worst and stupidest decisions I've ever witnessed.
