Think you see with your eyes? You're wrong. Also, ghosts and demons are bunk.

Diagram provided by Skittles x I've been seeing a lot of crap around here in people claiming to be first-hand witnesses of paranormal activity like UFO's on demons flocking about. If you're one of those people, I implore you to look at the red dot in the above picture. Focus on it really carefully. For most people, the blue circle will seem to vanish as long as they keep looking at the dot. Why is this? Because the human eye has a very limited span of view, and most of what you think you can see in your field of vision is actually completely fabricated by your brain based off your 'sight history' for lack of better terms. As long as you focus on that dot, the eye can't actually see hardly anything except what is within a few degrees of that dot, and the brain has to 'fill-in' the rest based on what it thinks might be there (in this case, a bunch of white). This has some scary implecations, because it means that if you believe you can see something strongly enough (like, I don't know, ghosts and demons) your brain will make you see things that aren't even really there. And it's not just sight, every human sense, be it sound, feeling and even memory, is vunrable to the same effect, as anytime you are in a sleep deprived state or in 'shut down' small, mundane events are capable of triggering complicated hallucinations that may seem 100% real to an affected person who is not aware of this fact. Memory is one of the scariest things to be affected by this, as someone who is not self-questioning can be implanted with all kinds of memories and recollections through simple relaxed suggestion (ever seen a session where someones memory of being abducted are 'extracted'? This is what that really is). TL;DR Anecdotal evidence is the most unreliable form of evidence there is, hell human brains can be fooled just by being shown repeating patterns. Don't waste your time or make yourself look like an idiot over believing in stuff like ufos or demons until actual physical evidence is presented. The phrase 'seeing is believeing' is flat-out false. /rant I spend way too much time on. (For the record I don't actually care if someone believes in that stuff, since if they truely do then there's nothing that will change that, especially not some internet post. I just think you guys might find this little-known kernel of info to be interesting).
