Why?
I guess this is less of a valid complaint than a pet peeve, but eh.

Doing covers can actually be pretty hard. If everyone knows the original, you have to make it sound like you actually did something to it, instead of playing it back for people in your voice. Most songs sound worse sped up too, so going slow is easier.
