And to add to the examples, in Red Orchestra 2, you cycle magazines; so if you have 5 magazines and:
You use 3 completely.
#4 is half full
#5 is 1/4 full
then when you reload with 1/4 of #5, your character pulls out #4 and you have half a magazine left. If you don't shoot, but reload again, you have #5 and it's 1/4 of a magazine.

Im RO:2 if the rifle you're using is reloaded via the top of the magazine by pulling the bolt back, then when you go to reload it will eject the cartridge that was chambered (if there was one). Basically, if you're using a bolt gun, and you fire a shot, work the bolt, decide to reload, you will put [b]2[/b] new cartridges into the magazine not one, because you ejected a good round by opening the bolt.
