Can we talk about adding Year 1 Crucible ornaments to Shaxx’s legacy focusing pool? Specifically looking at the Titan Phoenix Battle Ornament from Season 2. This chest piece is so unique and beautiful, and there are players who are heavily focused into fashion. People genuinely love this game off of cosmetics, and the fashion community loves how distinct this piece is. It has literal peacock feathers fanning out around the collar that are colored perfectly and take shaders incredibly well. I am sure there are plenty of others out there who agree with me on this. Some people might be able to simply brush off the fact that they will never get an item just because it is done and gone, but I cannot, and I hope there are people out there who understand that feeling. And look, please don't reply telling me to just use Devastation Complex or the base Phoenix Strife armor. We all know it's not the same. Those just have basic fur collars, but the ornament has the actual layered feathers with unique gold trim and completely different textures. It doesn't shade the same way at all. Using a worse replacement doesn't fix the regret for players who couldn't be around back in 2018. Gatekeeping 6 year old cosmetic ornaments when the original player base who earned them barely even plays anymore is just silly. I have 4,159 hours on the game and I’ve seen a literal handful of people actually wearing this ornament. Keeping it locked away benefits no one at this point, and bringing it back would mean a ton to the active player base. Honestly, we don't care how you implement it back. Bungie can do it however they want, whether that is a grueling Crucible quest line, locking it behind an endgame challenge, putting it in the Eververse Archive, or just adding it to Shaxx's legacy focusing for a high engram cost. Any method you choose is fine, but the option to earn or buy it should be there. I am not entirely sure if there are other similar ornaments out there for Hunters or Warlocks, but any cosmetic ornament that is gatekept like this should be returned. Wanting something like a skin or an ornament and knowing you will literally never be able to get it is just a horrible feeling. It is incredibly annoying knowing a cosmetic is just gone forever for no good reason. Since Bungie is literally returning everything else to the game right now, then absolutely EVERYTHING should return, including these legacy cosmetics. Please consider opening up these legacy ornaments. The demand is absolutely there.
