The Lethal Current aspect does not synchronize with Arc Staff. If you doge then use the Arc Staff melee, it doesn’t jolt the target. Yet I found that you can activate Ascension while in Arc Staff. Lethal Current doesn’t activate even though Arc Staff is entirely melee based, even activating the melee icon after a few swings. If Bungie granted this synchronization between the Aspect and the Super, I feel like they’d be giving too much. But in a game where all people use are Lightsaber Prismatic Getaway Artist, I feel as if the proposed synergy isn’t asking for much. Plus, nobody would use it, they’d continue using Stronghold Titan. Something like this would bolster the Arc Hunter, especially against Overload Champions. That way you don’t have to pause “the dance” and throw a grenade (how ungraceful), your melee attacks will jolt them after a dodge (the Arc Staff dodge animation is so graceful). Arc Staff is the premier Hunter Super, it also does more damage than Gathering Storm, that’s why Ike so keen on it being used to its full potential. All this is null if Bungie says, “it’s a super not a melee,” and I’d say that it’s wrong because Gathering Storm isn’t a melee either… then what’s different?
