Ooooh, that rhymed 🙂 I believe there is no update that will revive D2. The only way forward is a completely new iteration of the franchise. The game is now too old and stale. The franchise however, still (IMHO) has a lot of mileage and potential. A completely new solar system, new powers, new weapons, new story and new enemies is what is required. Patching up D2 just isn't going to work. I bought Marathon, I enjoyed the S-Slam. Why? Because it felt fresh and new. That's the only thing that will revive a game I not only love, but am addicted to. I understand if you disagree, but please don't be nasty about it... life's too short.
