21 RepliesDestiny 2 is old. Almost 160 GB; 7 Expansion Games; on the 2008 Tiger Engine. Destiny 1 was The Golden Age; Destiny 2 with the Seasons/Episodes was the Silver Age; Edge Of Fate is The Bronze Age. If you want something fresh and return to the Golden Age, you gotta wipe out the planets and Expansions that is taking up space and that nobody really plays afterwards upon completion or just have Destiny 3. How long were you expecting Destiny 2 to last? It would make sense if Destiny's last expansion was around sept 7, 2027 to make it to the 10th Anniversary. Ideally for destiny 3 to happen is if Marathon was running while Destiny 3 was being worked on. A lot of you want Marathon to fail so Bungie goes back to Destiny but that would mean job cuts and not even a return to the Silver Age. We many not get a Roadmap until June to know Destiny's fate. Now is a good time to finish up old Campaign missions, to work on Catalysts and maybe explore. One day, it's going to be gone... and sooner than you think.

4 RepliesYou can do something about it. Be vocal. Be sure Sony and Bungie know your discontent. Vote with your wallet. Consumers have power over these AAA corporations if we choose to use it.

4 RepliesEverything going Concording to plan.

Ironically Marathon is looking like toast already

1 ReplyLmfao mods come to respond to a post that's not a bug report? What dork times indeed.
-
5 RepliesCan you blame them? I bet the Devs were begging to be out on something new rather than slogging away at Destiny for the 10 plus years. It's gotta be soul crushing.

10 RepliesEdited by Northern: 3/6/2026 3:02:54 PMArc Raiders steam current players 114k Marathon steam current players 43k. That's what failure looks like, Bungie won't last much longer. 🤡 👋

Edited by Mark, Scholar of Stars: 3/6/2026 7:41:54 AMI have enough. It could be different, but this is how Bungie kept it going. Right now, Marathon has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. A rating never seen on Destiny 2, apart from its launch. They showed over the years who they are. I'm not really surprised Destiny 2 is going down like that. Of course, I hoped it would be different, but this is how Bungie's working. It's good that they are successful (with Marathon) again. They need that success. Who knows, maybe Bungie will get things sorted out. Better employed developers than unemployed, huh? But generally, I have enough of them. I'm looking forward to Death Stranding 2. And I'm not looking back! Everything has its time. Edit: Text correction

7 RepliesMarathon didn't cause a single reason i stopped playing Destiny. Marathon didn't cause content vaulting, sunsetting, killing pinnacles, Killing the comp mode, expansions without pvp content, stasis freeze. Destiny's problems are not the fault of some other game, it's old, it's repetitive. Destiny fans are just mad and looking for something or someone to blame and Marathon is an easy target.

It's crazy marathon hasn't even hot 100k concurrent on steam on release day. Bungo might be cooked.

3 RepliesI actually wanted to play marathon . Bought the deluxe version. Cant even log in. Have to turn off my internet security apparently. -blam!- that. Typical bungie shite. Going to refund.

On a positive note. We have a Critical Drinker/Gamer vid of “Crash & Burn - The Bungie Story” to look forward to in the next few months :)

Marathon is DOA…game is gonna flop hard…
-
Hey, they milked it for what they could. They knew the gravy train wasn’t going to last forever.
-
1 ReplySaid it before and will say it again. They say things come in 3’s. We had Concord. We had Highguard. Now we have Marathon. Its already overwhelmingly negative reviews on xbox.

1 ReplyHonestly I’d agree with this forum suggestion, because of marathon this severely impacted the game in my opinion. And the major update that the community wanted most of them got all frustrated and disappointed. At this point in my opinion because of the game is in a dying state and marathon impacting it’s just annoying but I do honestly agree with your feedback and opinion respectfully
