Sniper Scopes
Sniper scopes used to be customized between select scopes. Now each gun uses a specific scope. It was nice being able to choose which one, but it is understandable that only the most effective was picked as the standard. Specifically for snipers, it would be fun to select scopes again, I think for foundry weapons it would be great!

Each scope is unique to the weapon, making the beauty of the weapon. If anything there needs to be just one to two more “new gear” snipers. Lance Ephermeral is a new beauty, but it isn’t that strong. Conspiracy Honed is just useless.

Because everyone always just picked the "best" scope, so Bungie just skipped the middleman to pick it themselves and simplify balance.

Yes. It would be awesome if we could customize weapons in general. Being able to select different optics would be great.
