Hi, I’m currently experiencing SMS Verification Error 1618, which is preventing me from accessing in-game content that requires SMS verification. My email is fully verified on my account. However, when I try to access certain in-game features, I’m still being prompted to complete SMS verification — which fails due to Error 1618. According to the Bungie website, SMS verification is only required for free-to-play players. Because of this, I purchased Silver and some in-game items under the assumption that this would remove the verification requirement. Unfortunately, I am still being required to verify my phone number, and the error persists. My main concern is this: Do I need to purchase a DLC in order to bypass the SMS verification requirement? I’m hesitant to buy a DLC if there’s a chance I still won’t be able to access the content due to this verification error. Could someone please clarify: * Whether purchasing Silver or in-game items should remove the SMS requirement * Whether DLC ownership changes the verification requirement * Or if Error 1618 is a separate technical issue that needs to be resolved on Bungie Servers, and there's no way to bypass it as a player.
