God Rolls

I know it generally depends on your style of play (I’m very average and generally more conservative than attacking style) but is there a website or app that is generally considered the best for determining god rolls? I’ve been using Lightgg and Dim but they generally never view the same weapon as a god roll so it makes it a little difficult to tell which site to trust more. Thank you .

  • Suggestion: find a weapon type(s) that you like…one(s) for top/mid/heavy…try and get a mix for each level or enough of a mix to overlap Special ammo ones and Elemental ones, and especially a mix of kinetic / Stasis / strand ones - for the top slot. For example: useful mix of types to spread in top/mid rows… Pulse Rifle / Auto rifle / bow / SMG / Sidearm / shotgun / HC / fusion rifle / scout rifle / sniper Elemental damage is highly desirable though conflicts can / will occur, so be prepared to change items in / out, as required. (L3 to access vault / X button to store - PS5 controller) Some useful Exotic weapons have 3x elements on tap…Borealis (sniper) / Hardline (auto rifle)…these can be very handy, though there might be a conflict with a top / heavy exotic weapon. Once you’ve tried out the weapon types, YouTube has a lot of videos about which ones shine in PvE / PvP…choose accordingly. Go to Xur (in the Tower) and buy the weekly offerings of Exotics + Catalysts…and check out the Legendary ones, too. If uncertain, Google it or post a question for feedback…there’s lots of great Guardians on here to help! You could / should also visit other vendors - Drifter / Banshee / Zavala / Shax - there’s usually a few solid ones available and they do change frequently…so check back often. If you click on my character or any Guardian, you can scroll through our loadouts and see what we carry, and the rolls that we use. I’m a vanilla tortoise that mostly pootles about doing simple stuff…though my stuff works for me! 😁 That should get you started on your quest…good hunting! That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY

  • The “little light” app is useful for this.

  • Honestly a god roll is reliant on its user. Perks like discord and or subsistence for me on special weapon and or primary ammo are god roll perks. If I'm trying to get orders done fast asf I utilize subsistence for primary ammo weapons so I never need to reload on precision kills ect, pair that with a shotgun or sniper with discord for infinite ammo looping. Sometimes a god roll isn't seen as one till you realize it's usefulness, try to find what works best for you. Enjoy D2 Guardian 🫡🍻

  • And don't forget that everything might change with the next update or with the next Artifact. At least Tier 5 gives you more choices.

  • I used to rely on the usual go-to sites for god-roll recommendations, but even some of the top third-party resources have started stepping away from that role. The reason is pretty telling: weapon perks and traits are changing so frequently that keeping definitive “best rolls” up to date has become a losing battle in this increasingly obnoxious version of Destiny. On top of that, we’re now expected to choose weapons in conjunction with our armour, which makes very little sense. Armour should complement survivability and abilities—not dictate how a gun performs. Wearing high-quality running shoes doesn’t magically make you break a world record in the 200-metres; the logic simply doesn’t translate. These days I use Blueberries.gg more as a general reference than a rulebook. And honestly, that’s probably where things should have been all along. As many players have pointed out, the most important factor isn’t a spreadsheet-approved roll—it’s how a weapon actually feels and performs for you in real gameplay.

  • Secret top tip: always shoot a few rounds from the gun, before dismantle It may not look like a god roll, it may not scream I am a god roll, doesn't mean it's not 😄

    • Just watch some YouTube videos and incorporate your taste to it. People act like kill clip is the only god roll. Kill clip is not good. Especially in a standoffish game.

    • Of course godroll is kinda personal, and every godroll wishlist is created by a curator and often heavily influenced by his opinion/preferences. With the diminishing number of players and curators quitting/retiring the amount of lists and the quality of them has gone down substantially. Regardless, a lot of difference among them has always been the case. Always kinda makes me chuckle when one says a weapon is the ultimate godroll and the next tells me to delete it because it's garbage 😆 of course the very best is knowing yourself, but not everyone is willing to put the study work in and very early into a new season you don't really know that much about newly introduced perks but in the recent past curators often seem to go for what they know and like instead of what a weapon might have to offer new perk wise anyway 😉 TLDR, nothing is perfect 😄

    • You'll find even news articles have differing rolls sometimes. No one single source has a godest godroll.

With Dim your getting rolls someone has added to their wishlist and lightgg is the most commonly equipped but many ppl throw rolls in the vault not equipping the best rolls so that messes the results. Little light is another app that has a pvp/pve rating but again its someones wishlist. Use as guides and just get the roll you want even if its not got a blue thumb or S rating dosnt mean its not the best roll

There’s rarely such a thing as « THE » god roll now. A lot of the new weapons have several great perk combo in their pool and it really depends on your build, content difficulty, PvE vs PvP… Some roll are definitely better than others of course but there are several good options. Which weapon are you talking about?

    • What’s wrong with this app? State which weapon you’re interested in . PVE or PVP? Plenty helpful folks on here will give you the benefit of their experience 👍🏻
