When someone tries to join me or send me an invite they recieve the message "Target is currently offline". This has been an issue for a while, but couldnt find anything to fix it. Today I made a new bungie.net account and a new steam account to test. It worked perfectly fine when an invite was sent or someone tried to join. I then started to compare my steam privacy settings and Bungie.net privacy settings. All in game settings are set to public on both accounts.
However, when I went to account linking, I noticed tha the new account has a box you can check that says "Display on public profile" while my original account (merged from battle.net) does not have that option. I am not sure if that is the problem.
All my privacy settings in all platforms are set to public, Crossplay is on in all consoles, NAT is OPEN on my PC. I have compared all settings and matched them. Yet I still get the "Target is currently offline" on my Lmimic account.
Any help or guidance is welcomed. This is really limiting my access to the Destiny 2 community in game.
Thanks for your help

Edit: I did a test. I unchecked that box and saved. I was unable to recieve invites on the new account after unchecking the "Display on public profile". That means the issue is that, for some reason, my account doesnt have the option to turn on "Display on public profile" causing it to be perma offiline.
Someone from bungie, please look into this issue. This issue is a bungie.net issue, not a steam issue. I wouldnt be surprised if this is affecting thousands of people.
If you are a player that gets "Target is currently offline" when someone tries to join you, send an invite, or when you try the twitch checkpointbots, go to Bungie.net and sign in with your steam account, then go into Settings > Account Linking and under steam if you have the box "Display on public profile" make sure it is checked and then click the "Save Settings" button at the bottom. If you dont have that option, then hope that bungie looks into it and fixes the issue.
