PvE:
Outside of conquests, which are really nice, (espacially Avalon and Hypernet in terms of challenge. I hope we get the even harder ones next season) the game feels way too easy in my opinion. During Call to Arms, I noticed that even if i choose all the hardest modifiers, the runs are not a challenge at all. I think the reason is that enemies are not mechanically challenging enough.
So I have a few suggestions:
- Add more Banes that require certain mechanics to defeat in activities (like the drone banes in the first few days in Call to Arms or that Bane that you have to melee) or similar mechanically challenging enemies that you cant just nuke off the map or enemies like Bezerkers.
-> Maybe add a Bane that disrupts abilities like in the Lightfall campaign
- I would also add more Ultras/Mini Bosses to Grandmaster and Ultimate activites, so you cant freeze/suspend everything
- Give enemies certain resist modifiers like Solar resist, Melee resist, weapon resist, etc...
- Make Grandmaster -40 and Ultimate -50 power at base
- Primary weapons feel like pea shooters in higher tier content.
PvP sandbox:
PvP feels very off right now. I consider myself as a mainly PvP player, but i shifted to PvE this season, because I cant stand the current meta, mainly because of Hunters and the spreadshot handcanon.
For transperency, Im playing as a Warlock using the "moral" loadout 120/140 HC + Sniper and i basically use no abilities as I fully rely on my gun skill.
Painpoints:
- Tempest strike. In my opinion it does way to much damage over a way to big range. At times it one shots me. I would make it not work with gamblers and decrease its damage and range.
- Smoke bomb. Its just way too oppresive given how easy it is to get back. At least it doesnt slow you down anymore, but its still too strong. Not sure what to do to those, but I just wanna say that they are so annoying. It doesnt help that 50% of the PvP population are Hunters
- Spreadshot HC. Low risk/High reward weapon given how easy to use it is, espacially when used with throwing knifes. I would nuke its range or make it a special weapon.
- Sniper flinch is insanely high. I understand that snipers are getting a buff in Renegades, but I dont feel like that it would be enough.
- Nerf ability recharge rate even further in PvP
- Matches are too short. Make matches go like 5 minutes longer.
- Add Input Based Matchmaking!!!!!!!!
Loot:
- Tier 5 loot is too easy to optain in this Season. I dont think that Tier 5 loot should be tied to power level, instead it should be tier on challenging activities.
