Alone in the Dark progress erased!
I am attempting to get the 15 encryption bits for the lg khostov. I spent the whole day playing and completed I believe step 5 or 6... I have 12 encryption bits showing in my inventory.
But the quest has reverted my progress back to step 2! And it's making me replay all the steps that I spent hours completing.
It would, I assume, not be possible for me to have 12 of the 15 encryption bits if I was making this up and hadn't actually progressed the quest. From what I've read, once I complete the quest I learn how to invert the 3 cyst missions to get the final 3
Is this a know issue or can anyone help? I am so demoralized i'm probably going to stop playing if there isn't a solution. thanks Guardians

3 RepliesEdited by EckyThump: 11/23/2025 7:34:58 PMHey there, Alone in the Dark is infinitely repeatable - the first five full completions will unlock each of the remaining cysts in turn, the first was unlocked by Convalescence: Greenery. Alone in the Dark basically just loops you through the same steps - find a Ghost, do some Overthrow, then a Cyst, before bringing the Ghost back to the Lost Tower. It sounds like you've done two full completions so far, nothing's being lost or erased, you're just meant to redo it several times. The next one should be the first to invert the cysts. Does it say 'Ghosts Recovered' on it? What number does it say?
