Dear Bungie,
The loot chase has a Major flaw at the moment and that is after you hit max Power you get tier 5 gear everywhere and it gets very easy to get everything you want and then you just have no motivation to play anymore because there is nothing to chase for. In my opinion it only needs one small change to fix this Problem. Tier 5s shouldend be guaranteed drops but need to be treaded like Adept drops where treated before. They should be rare drops you get Every once in a while and only should be guaranteed drops from endgame activities like gm's, Dungeons, feat raids, lighthouse chest and so on. This would bring the chase back and at the same time make end game activities relevant again.

Making it seem like getting tier 5 loot was going to be easy. So when players booted up EoF for the first time, and was just barely starting to get T4s after 3 weeks, it felt bad. Bungie does this with every single launch. They’ll show off the best of the best loot you can’t easily get in a reasonable time frame right off the bat. They did it for Into the Light and Rite of the nine with Shinies and they did with EoF. They should have showed off T3-4s and NO tier 5s, stating that they were a product of skill and time, with SOME RNG. Obviously that’s all out the window now. If you’re 450, losing a crucible game gets you 4 tier 5s and now they’re just giving it away in the tower with the current event. The best of the best loot is now treated as “normal” and anything below that is subpar and bad. I have no clue how they’ll fix this so loot feels meaningful again, but I’m sure whatever they do, it’ll piss off whatever is left of the community.
