I'm not a crucible player, let's get that straight. I play it when I'm forced to and 99% of the time, I'm at the bottom of the scoreboard (to my random teammates, I'm sorry, but I only play when I'm forced to).
Anyway, I've seen lots of posts saying this weapon or that armour is a problem, and will they nerf this, that or the other. So I was thinking, PvP players are highly skilled at what they do, so why not make the skill factor more prominent.
Base Crucible Mode
E.g. Only blue/green/white weapons and armour can be used, and a separate legendary mode.
No exotics at all, no aspects or anything. Just a basic super, grenade, and melee. Each kill gives 20% energy back to all power.
A totally skill based game, with excellent end game rewards due to the skills required.
I don't play or enjoy the crucible, but I want it to do well and the players to be rewarded for their time and skill.
What do you think?

Some replies to this post is a partial reason as to why Destiny is in the state it is. A huge part of the player base are just salty c**ts. They have no filter and lack basic manners & etiquette.

Just bring back vendor rank up.

2 RepliesEdited by Golden: 11/20/2025 11:25:20 PMNo one’s forcing you to do it. Bungie didn’t hold you at gunpoint and say “If you don’t do this, your account will be banned” You chose to do it because You want the shiny new thing. Does it suck? Yes, absolutely it sucks.

1 ReplyThat would amount to nothing as long as there is lag and so many cheaters. There are some good guns and exotics piece to give you an edge today, but from a gunplay perspective, nothing will turn an average Joe like me into a great player. There are basic skills to learn. I like PvP, always did, and I’m sure if Bungie could get lag and cheat under control more people would like it, even in its current state.
