Could tell that copyright lawsuit had no merit.
If you're not willing to fight for yourself...
The players won't come back.
Is this @Sony legal? Is it your team.
I read the stuff... and boy, it was hard to get through - that's how bad it was.
Nothing in it is congruent with the narrative past or present.
You let yourselves get shaken down.
Roadmap? Maybe a good sign.
This is a bad sign.
This grifter needed to be made an example of.
The writing is so bad... so ****in' bad. It's on Etsy now... Amazon has self-publishing for ****s sake! It is mind blowing that you went to settlement. Why don't they have a publisher? Why aren't they legitimately self-published? How did you fall victim to a "poor mans" copyright claim w 0 merit.
It's poorly surfaced, but the writing in this game with few exceptions has been great. Every writer that worked on those narratives' reputations are now sullied because you didn't fight for them.
If I was a writer at Bungie, I might leave if I could, knowing that your career and reputation could be damaged in a way that was completely out of your control.
You got to stick up for your devs and writers, or you'll have no devs or writers.

3 RepliesYou're looking at it the wrong way. Bungie definitely would've won the case, but the cost of winning would've likely been more than whatever amount they settled for. I just wish settlement amounts & lawyer fees had to be publicized so that we could see how it all shook out.
