Mementos are now a pointless reward of yesteryear. With crafted weapons no longer being viable in content requiring new featured gear, this make mementos pointless. At this point mementos should just become shaders. But that won't happen because eververse cannot sell them. Take a look at The Eater of Worlds Ornament Set, one of the rarest and most prestigious ornament sets in Destiny 2. You had to do everything in leviathan, eater of worlds, and spire of stars to attain this set, imo it was one of the best rewards from that raid tier. Players who have these sets went through a lot of trouble getting them done back in the day, and are some of the best raiders imo to have unlocked them. These were some of the best rewards that players can earn.
