• Ok I hear what you want. However you might be misguided on what the needs of the game are/ as far as what the issue are. To put it simply, and just my understanding from some research: Part of the engine they use, was built when they made Halo- that is 24 year old. Another part- Tiger- was built into that old engine- and Tiger was used for D1 & D2, so that part is 11 years old. Bottom line the engine is 11-24 years old. For a live service game, that is fairly old when it comes to engines and technology. Again in my understanding. We see issues of: more bugs, Code Issues, Glitches, More Frequent Error Messages, More and longer maintenance times, longer wait times to load into the game, things like vault space seem limited, crashes during the game, and probably other things I don’t understand. All of these issues are a result of working on a very old engine. Therefore it’s not as simple as, turn the servers off and fix everything. Even if it was that simple, how long would they have to be off, and how long would the player base wait? The actual fix is: Rebuild all of Destiny 2 on a new engine. For the time and resources and effort that would take, I don’t see that happening for an 8 year old game. The time for a new engine is if they made a new IP.

      • FOMO through Events is the reason this game still has any players. As much as I hate them, taking Events out of the game now would sink their player numbers even lower.

        • If they take the events out of the game, the player base will drop past it's recently lowest of 8000 player count. Events get people to log in and play.
