It's primarily a fun mode, however the heavy anmo being constant is a total spoiler - dying over & over to rockets & teams simply camping heavy ruins the whole mode.
Matchmaking seems better than usual but connections are absolutely horrific - some game i simply can't damage people, like a full mag in the back barely breaks shields yet I die instantly - this is compounded by crossplay where there's still HUGE desync between PSN & Xbox & when there's 10 PSN in a lobby it's simply unplayable - what with heavy users who don't take damage at all, yeah it's a nope.
Game performance - it's in the literal 🚽. What with really slow matchmaking, always seems to stop at 11/12 for 2-4 mins, then it starts but you're sat in orbit for 3 mins as it's getting networking together, then you fly in & then there's another 2-3 mins of black screens, loading screens etc & this is getting worse & taking longer.
So near yet so very very far away from being a good experience. Such a shame because it's actually a unique fun PvP experience that's been neglected for a decade.

Holy hell non-PvP mains are always unhappy. Hardware is exactly what it was going to be. If you don’t like it you just don’t like Destiny. If camping and heavy are affecting you you aren’t good enough. It’s that simple…
