Bungie, please stop forcing Titans into a melee-based class

Just to be clear, my intention is not to discuss how OP other classes are compared to Titans. I also don't intend on arguing with people about other classes. I only know Titan because that's what I chose and that's what I have been playing since D1. I would like Bungie to know that Titans are sick of being a melee-only class. It's cool to have some melee builds, but just like how Hunters and Warlocks have varying aspects/exotics that change their playstyle, I would like that for Titan as well, because frankly Titan usually feels like an afterthought in some way or another. I know there are changes already happening that are making Titans feel less of a melee-based class, and I love them already: the Hazardous exotic for Rocket builds, and the Unbreakable aspect for Tankier builds are a few great examples. I can't wait to see what else Bungie will come up for this amazing game. I'm attaching Aztecross' recent video because there are A LOT of Titans who feel the same in his comment section. I just hope it isn't too late to make the change because I love this game a lot, I just wish I had an infinite amount of time to play more.

    Literally Dead - old

I think the main reason for having Titan be a melee focused class is for placement reasons. They want them to be at the vanguard. At the front of the team, closest to the enemy. As a hunter I am up in the middle of an encounter jumping around them and trying to make angles so I don't have as much room for error when aiming (aiming down is better for knives than aiming from the same height, moving into your knives means you have to drag the mouse less distance to get all three knife trick knives on head). So with me being up in the middle, I look like a very tasty target. But if Titan is there with me and just OHKOing everything that enters their reach, I'm able to run in and out to get my shanks. That said, I understand why titans want more options. But why not just play Warlock if you want to be a range-focused build? What would Titan do differently?
