PSA: Don't rush Breach Executable
Guys, I get some of you hate this game and are in a big rush to not be playing it, but you get more loot drops if you collect the radiolite. Like, you get [i]tons[/i] of loot and all you have to do is find the pistons that makes radiolite spawn. If you don't want to go to the trouble of helping find the piston and collect the nodes, then please, [i]please[/i] just sit and wait for those of us who do to finish because when one person collects radiolite, everyone gets it.

I have been lucky to get matched with competent fireteams these past two days. We don’t rush. We take samples and look for more random stuff. I have gotten the pinnacle the fools rush for, then I get even more. -Sucks to be them. I’ve been getting exotic drops, weapon&gear drops above hardcap, and my rank skyrockets. Hello upgrade materials. Rahool and I have a some good business between us now. Also, if you’re observant. There’s new/more things being added also. If you’re smart, you won’t rush the event and waste everyone’s time, including your own, with loot-less encounters. -

I was guilty of this because I didn’t know any better lol. I wondered what was going on the first time or two I ran it. Now I am less ignorant and will stop rushing to the next spot. Thanks 🙏

Use LFG, no mic required, minimum 3 chests, 4, if you collect the samples.

1 ReplyDid a couple these last night, got some good infusion fuel and the people I did it with hung about and collected the plants. Still do not have a clue whatsoever where to put the hammer, I ran around and towards columns etc but didn't get any prompt, will try again later.

1 ReplyI announce I have hammers and will hunt the pieces just don’t go to the boss. I have yelled at several people for rushing. Like why play this mode if you just rushing through it. I get wanting to complete the activity fast but it isn’t meant to be done that way. I prefer playing the 2nd difficulty most in it are hunting like me. Have people not looked at the fact we need to collect a lot of this stuff for achievements?

Bungie made a design blunder here. Like they often do, where they make objectives that make players have to compete against each other.

I hate it since day of the breach activity that people where just speed running then play smash and gather the nodes. What is depressing is the timer since we are all train at this point gotta go fast get best time bs.

Thanks for the heads up , I didn't even realize this info, not that I'm a run to end guy. I'm the guy at the back, fighting all the bad guys left in their wake. Some speed folks do kill everything though, so I just stay in position and get pulled ahead, thanks hero. The old soldier me prefers fire team stick together, I know it's a game, but old habits stick around.

6 RepliesTo the people insulting players for rushing ahead. They obviously don't know there is a reason NOT to run ahead or they wouldn't do it. That goes back to game design. I just read every post in this thread and still have no idea what you guys are talking about: pistons, hammers, radiolite...I just run around, kill stuff and go where the indicators on the screen tell me to go. Guess this is the part where I'm supposed to go watch a YouTube video. Ain't no one got time for that =D

Just another poorly designed activity/quest system from Bungie. They give you the hammer, but don't explain what you need to do to use it, then they make the node difficult to find/identify once you get into the activity, made worse by the fact normally you are rushing to find it before your two blueberries drag you into the "Joining Teammates" countdown before you can get any samples. They took it a step further by making it a quest requirement for this week's questline to have to find a certain sample between fights in the activity. It was hilarious watching Datto stream it last night and he had to replay it again because his teammates ran forward and triggered joining teammates before he could even start to look for the item he needed to finish the quest. Just terrible/lazy design overall.

4 RepliesI'd appreciate some indication on the map where the column even is, or how to distinguish it from all the other similar looking columns when I was trying to explain to a friend what to look out for - but once we'd found it and used the hammer - the blueberry with us got bored and pulled us through. No goodies for us!

2 Replieslol i hit the piston in the middle of a round while the mobs were still spawning and ran around and collected it. let the other 2 worry about the mobs/finishing the stage.
